The Community Advice and Law Service offers advice in the areas of Debt, Housing and Welfare Benefits. Please refer to the individual pages on the website for further information in each of these categories of work.
We provide a range of services including self-help packs and fact sheets, information and advice, telephone advice and face to face advice, casework services and representation at court. As an agency we also provide consultancy and training and support to other agencies. We deliver training sessions including budgeting and financial capability and financial education courses and take an active part in influencing social policy matters.
If a client has complex debt problems or is unable to deal with their creditors without the assistance of one of our advisers, that client will be offered an appointment within the casework service operated by CALS.
Appointments are arranged primarily for clients to be seen at Epic House Charles Street Leicester. Home visits can be arranged if necessary.
