Community Advice Projects Manager

37 hours per week

Salary £27k  to £31k (depending on experience)

Location: Leicester City

You will project manage CALS Community Projects The Community projects seek to reduce poverty and disadvantage for people on low incomes and to bring about long-term changes in behaviour that will enable them to move to a position of greater financial resilience.

The Current Community projects are: Energywise, Leicester Food Bank Plus, and Moneywise Plus. These projects work with community-based organisations to provide a comprehensive package of support to help Leicester City and County residents with a broad range of generalist advice issues in line with each individual project’s remit and eligibility criteria. The advice and support areas covered include: welfare benefits advice and other forms of income maximisation; energy account management, energy cost reduction & energy saving measures; other household cost reduction and money management; digital support; support with accessing training, education and employment. The Community Advice Manager will be based at CALS’s main office and will be expected to travel to host venues where the advice services are delivered and to attend meetings at venues throughout Leicester City and Leicestershire County. The role will involve staff management, project and service delivery management,  Community Promotion and engagement, funder and stakeholder relationship management, reporting and data management.

Grants and Development Manager

21 hours per week

Salary £32,000 to £34,500 (pro rata) 

Location: Leicester City

The Community Advice and Law Service has been working to tackle poverty and social exclusion in Leicester and Leicestershire for over forty years through the delivery of independent, high quality advice on social welfare matters. We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Grants and Development Manager to help us grow our income and diversify our income streams. With a new Chief Executive in post, a supportive Board of Trustees and a highly engaged staff team, this is an exciting time to join the organisation and the successful candidate will have a significant opportunity to contribute to the development of our new strategy. There is considerable flexibility with regard to how this role is delivered, and we are open to discussions around working hours, working location or possible freelancing options.
